The Motor Vehicles Department has registered cases against 72 interstate tourist buses in Ernakulam following a surprise inspection. Authorities issued demand notices for more than ₹1 crore in tax dues and also detected other transport-related violations. The enforcement drive covered areas including Kalamassery, Angamaly and Perumbavoor.
